Svungen Top: a sculptural ceramic vase by Eva Stæhr-Nielsen

Svungen Top is a glazed ceramic vase designed by Danish ceramicist Eva Stæhr-Nielsen. As the name (Danish for "sweeping top") suggests, its sweeping rim makes it both sculptural and functional.

A Danish ceramics classic, relaunched

Eva Stæhr-Nielsen created her stoneware designs between 1932 and 1968, and they are sought after by collectors around the world. Among other honors, she received a gold medal at the World's Fair in Paris in 1937 and at the Milan Triennale in 1957.

Spring Copenhagen works closely with the Stæhr-Nielsen family to relaunch a selection of her timeless designs. Svungen Top makes a meaningful housewarming or wedding gift for anyone who loves Danish design history.
